Great Recipes To Make Awesome, Homemade, Incredible, Edible Energy Bars!
Recipes you’ll find on this page have been gathered from various places. None of these are original with me, and I haven’t tried all of them. These are offered as a guide to make homemade bars, rather than buying them at the store.
The recipe ingredients in many cases are not organic. It is very easy to substitute honey for many sugars and syrups. Almost any food mentioned can be found in the organic variety. There are 15 recipes for you to choose from. Some need to be baked. Others you will need to chill in the fridge. Some recipies you can make and eat right away.
The whole idea here is to give organic foods a try. Even if you don’t, making these yourself will provide you with bars you know are better than what would be made in a factory somewhere. You will make them without adding the emulsifiers, extenders, saturated fats or palm kernel oils that are no good for you, and that's just one benefit.
Hey, it was pretty much covered in the article on Makers Of Energy Bars, so no need to repeat it here. Try a recipe that looks easy. Cut it in half so if you don’t like it, you won’t throw away a whole batch of stuff.
I made a whole recipe of #11 four years ago. I discovered some I had put in Ziploc bags and stuffed in a big, plastic jar that pretzels come in. You know the kind that come with the screw on lid? It looked good, so I decided to take a risk and eat it.
The flavor was still great! I was blown away! There was no taste of staleness. After all that time. These were not chocolate covered, as that hadn’t work out so well. And I’m still here to write this. That is a result of the recipe and not so much me.
So dig in! Read a little till you find one of these you think looks good, easy or both. Make a list of things to get from the health food store…or not. Just do it! Make a bunch up and see what you get. Give some to friends, after you’ve sampled them, unless you’re trying to get rid of someone.
