It has been said that the older you get ,the more you stand to benefit from a moderate exercise program.

Still, many older people hesitate to engage in regular physical activity for fear of getting hurt or sick.

Recumbent delta trike riding can be a low impact form of exercise.

It also is a good form of cardiovascular workout and legs strengthen exercise. Due to the lawn chair type sitting posture; delta trikes are easy to get on and off.

Granted, older ones do well to consult their doctor before they begin a program or strenuous activity.

Physical Exercise

People who are physical active have a lower risk of cognitive decline.

A recent report in the The Journal of the American Medical Association found that older women who walked at an easy pace for at least 1.5 hours a week over two years had significantly better cognitive function and less mental decline than the women in the study who were the least active.

This corroborates significant rsearch pointing to physical fitness as good for the mind as well as the body.
