Ice Cream Gnome

Valley Bikes provides a cooler full of drinks and an ice cream freezer offering various delights. Now it seems during the summer a noticeable amount of ice cream had been disappearing from the freezer, and it seemed to be happening after business hours. There didn’t seem to be any logical explanation, so it was determined an “ice cream gnome” was on the loose! While Mike was away visiting family, a larger than usual amount was found to be missing, so the hunt was on for the “gnome!”

While Mike and I were enjoying a good conversation in his office during the interview, all sorts of noise started in the shop. We could hear some sort of muffled noises. Dane, Mike’s oldest son, excitedly told his dad, “You’ve got to see this!” As Mike and I walked out into the store the first thing we saw was the ice cream freezer. The freezer was one of those that have the sliding glass doors on top.

There was a screwdriver stuck in a hole that kept the doors from opening, and then we noticed the muffled noises coming from inside the freezer. The hair on the back of my neck started to stand up as I wondered what we were going to see. Take a look!
