Recumbent Exercise Bikes Are Waiting For You!
Recumbent exercise bikes
are hard to get along with because they offer resistance! Get it? Resistance! That means how hard or easy it is to pedal! You knew that….right? Just checking to see if you are with me here.
The two types that might be most popular would be the Direct Tension that can be manually adjusted, or the Magnetic Frictionless Resistance.
Direct Tension is simply straight forward in its manual adjustment. You turn knobs or levers to increase or decrease the rolling resistance.
It’s sort of like a brake on a bike. If the brake rubs the rim it will really slow down the speed of the bike, and make it very hard to pedal (it will also be very frustrating when you can’t figure out why the bike doesn’t go as fast as usual).
The most sophisticated is the
Magnetic Frictionless Resistant
style. This style allows for a much greater variation of workout modes as well as the level of intensity.
For those not interested in riding on the trails or roads, this is still a great way to get valuable, pain free exercise. Check out the following links for more information.
